Overview

Stedman has supplied blank apparel since 1953 and runs from Aachen in Germany, positioning itself as an affordable premium partner for printers and promotional resellers. Its Classic-T sits at the centre of a deep range of tees, polos, sweatshirts and hoodies in wide colour choices. Seventy-five Stedman product groups are connected on the FastEditor Product Hub, the largest range in this group.

FastEditor prepares artwork for the selected Stedman product using its configured print area, decoration technique and supplier requirements. Raster logos are vectorized automatically when the selected decoration technique requires vector output. When vector output is not required, FastEditor may recommend vectorization to improve quality, but it is optional. The editor previews the design in position and provides a proof and configured production file. Line thickness is shown as an indication. In Logo Editor, Sale Notification triggers production-file generation after the customer places the order.

How the integration works

Stedman is connected through the FastEditor Product Hub for the Europe region, with seventy-five product groups spanning tees, polos, sweatshirts, hoodies and more.

  • Raster logos are vectorized automatically when the selected decoration technique requires vector output. When vector output is not required, FastEditor may recommend vectorization to improve quality, but it is optional.
  • The artwork is validated against the product's print area, colour count, line weight and resolution.
  • The logo is previewed in place and a production-ready print file plus a branded proof are generated.

All seventy-five product groups run this workflow inside your webshop for the Europe region.

Artwork requirements

Stedman blanks are engineered for decoration, so artwork is prepared to the print area and method for each garment.

  • Vector artwork. Raster logos are vectorized automatically when the selected decoration technique requires vector output. When vector output is not required, FastEditor may recommend vectorization to improve quality, but it is optional.
  • Placement and size. Polos and structured garments suit embroidery at the left chest.
  • Colour count. Colour count is checked against the method, which matters across the wide Stedman colour range.
  • Line thickness. FastEditor provides an indication to help the user assess fine detail against the selected product and decoration technique’s requirements. Thin lines are not automatically corrected. Follow the supplier’s requirement for that configuration rather than a single minimum for every product.

How to start selling

  1. Start from the connected catalogue. Every Stedman product in the FastEditor Product Hub already carries its print areas, decoration methods and specifications. Product configuration is already done. To start in Studio Tool, create an account and choose a plan; the Starter plan includes a 30-day free trial. For Logo Editor, activate a FastEditor license and complete the webshop integration setup.
  2. Choose how you sell. Put products on your webshop with the Logo Editor so customers personalise them, or keep them in the Studio Tool for your sales and account teams.
  3. The design happens in FastEditor. A logo drops onto the product inside the real decoration area, is checked against the colour and line-weight rules, and is previewed in place before anyone commits.
  4. Generate the proof and production file. In Studio Tool, use Download to generate the files for the selected product and decoration technique. In Logo Editor, the webshop sends a Sale Notification after the customer places the order to trigger file generation. The proof and production file follow the selected supplier configuration.
