Overview

Printify is a print-on-demand platform founded in 2015 and based in Riga, Latvia, that connects merchants to a global network of independent print providers. Its catalogue reaches 112 product groups here, spanning apparel blanks, mugs, posters and home and lifestyle goods produced on demand.

A print-on-demand range only works when every uploaded logo is production-ready, whatever the product. FastEditor lets a customer upload artwork, vectorizes it automatically when vector output is required for the selected decoration technique, and validates it against each item's print method and area, so a mug, poster or t-shirt reaches production without a manual prepress step or a correction loop. When vector output is not required, vectorization may be recommended to improve quality but is optional.

How the integration works

Printify is connected through the FastEditor Product Hub, so its print-on-demand catalogue reaches your storefront ready for personalisation.

  • A customer uploads a logo onto a Printify product and FastEditor vectorizes it automatically when vector output is required for the selected decoration technique for clean output. When vector output is not required, vectorization may be recommended to improve quality but is optional.
  • The artwork is validated against that product's print method and area, checking colour count, line weight and resolution.
  • FastEditor previews the design in place and generates a branded proof with a production-ready file.

The Printify catalogue is available to resellers across Europe through the FastEditor Product Hub.

Artwork requirements

Printify products span garments, ceramics and paper goods, so print methods and areas vary by item. FastEditor validates each upload against the specific product before output.

  • Vector artwork. Raster uploads are vectorized when the selected decoration technique requires vector output, keeping edges clean on print and transfer.
  • Resolution. Resolution is checked against the product size, which matters for large posters and wraps.
  • Colour count. Colour counts and detail are validated against the item's print method, from garment printing to ceramic and paper.
  • Placement and size. Placement is confirmed inside each product's print area, including mug wraps and edge margins.

How to start selling

  1. Start from the connected catalogue. Every Printify product in the FastEditor Product Hub already carries its print areas, decoration methods and specifications. Product configuration is already done. To start in Studio Tool, create an account and choose a plan; the Starter plan includes a 30-day free trial. For Logo Editor, activate a FastEditor license and complete the webshop integration setup.
  2. Choose how you sell. Put products on your webshop with the Logo Editor so customers personalise them, or keep them in the Studio Tool for your sales and account teams.
  3. The design happens in FastEditor. A logo drops onto the product inside the real decoration area, is checked against the colour and line-weight rules, and is previewed in place before anyone commits.
  4. Generate the proof and production file. In Studio Tool, use Download to generate the files for the selected product and decoration technique. In Logo Editor, the webshop sends a Sale Notification after the customer places the order to trigger file generation. The proof and production file follow the selected supplier configuration.
