Overview

The North Face was founded in San Francisco in 1968 and has been part of VF Corporation since 2000, building its name in technical outerwear from Nuptse down jackets and Denali fleece to Gore-Tex shells. The 7 product groups connected here bring that outdoor range, jackets, fleece and technical layers, into corporate and reseller branding.

Connected through the FastEditor Product Hub, these garments let resellers turn a customer's logo into decoration-ready artwork in the browser. FastEditor vectorizes the upload when the selected decoration technique requires vector output, validates it against each item's decoration area, colour count and line weight, previews it on the garment, and returns a branded proof, so branding clears approval without a prepress correction loop.

How the integration works

The North Face selection is connected to FastEditor through the Product Hub feed, with each garment carrying its own decoration area into the editor.

  • All 7 product groups load with their decoration positions and colour limits mapped, typically a left-chest or sleeve placement on jackets and fleece.
  • A customer's logo is vectorized automatically when vector output is required for the selected decoration technique and checked against the placement, colour count and minimum line weight before the order is placed. When vector output is not required, vectorization may be recommended to improve quality but is optional.
  • The result is a production-ready file and a branded proof, ready for decoration with no manual prepress.

Available worldwide, the connected range lets resellers personalise and approve North Face outerwear online in a single pass.

Artwork requirements

The connected range covers technical outerwear and fleece, from insulated and shell jackets to fleece layers, where decoration is commonly embroidery on fleece and heat-applied badges on laminated or coated shells, so artwork is checked against each method and fabric.

  • Vector artwork. Vector logos are required for clean embroidery, where fine detail and small text must hold as stitches on fleece.
  • Colour count. Colour counts are validated per placement so the mark suits the chosen decoration method.
  • Line thickness. FastEditor provides an indication to help the user assess fine detail against the selected product and decoration technique’s requirements. Thin lines are not automatically corrected. Follow the supplier’s requirement for that configuration rather than a single minimum for every product.
  • Proof preview. Left-chest and sleeve positions are previewed in place so the logo sits at the right scale on the finished garment.

How to start selling

  1. Start from the connected catalogue. Every The North Face product in the FastEditor Product Hub already carries its print areas, decoration methods and specifications. Product configuration is already done. To start in Studio Tool, create an account and choose a plan; the Starter plan includes a 30-day free trial. For Logo Editor, activate a FastEditor license and complete the webshop integration setup.
  2. Choose how you sell. Put products on your webshop with the Logo Editor so customers personalise them, or keep them in the Studio Tool for your sales and account teams.
  3. The design happens in FastEditor. A logo drops onto the product inside the real decoration area, is checked against the colour and line-weight rules, and is previewed in place before anyone commits.
  4. Generate the proof and production file. In Studio Tool, use Download to generate the files for the selected product and decoration technique. In Logo Editor, the webshop sends a Sale Notification after the customer places the order to trigger file generation. The proof and production file follow the selected supplier configuration.
