Overview

Cutter & Buck is a premium golf and corporate apparel brand founded in Seattle in 1990 and now part of the Swedish New Wave Group. It is known for upscale, classically styled polos, sweaters and outerwear for the golf, corporate and collegiate markets, and distributes across more than twenty-five countries. Its catalogue is connected on FastEditor as 118 product groups.

Corporate and golf apparel is almost always decorated with a clean left-chest logo, usually embroidered on performance pique and knit, where colour accuracy and stitch quality carry the brand. FastEditor vectorizes raster logos automatically when vector output is required for the selected decoration technique, validates it against the product and decoration method for placement, line weight and colour, and outputs a production-ready file with a branded proof. When vector output is not required, vectorization may be recommended to improve quality but is optional.

How the integration works

Cutter & Buck's polos, layers and outerwear are built for corporate and golf wear, where decoration is discreet and consistent.

  • Print areas: Decoration zones such as the left chest, sleeve and back neck are held per style across polos, sweaters and jackets.
  • Decoration methods: Embroidery suits the performance pique and knit fabrics, so artwork is checked for stitchable detail and line weight.
  • Product data and variants: Colours and sizes flow through as structured variants across the 118 product groups.

These 118 product groups are available through the FastEditor Product Hub for resellers across Europe.

Artwork requirements

Corporate and golf apparel is usually embroidered, so artwork should be prepared for stitch.

  • Line thickness. FastEditor provides an indication to help the user assess fine detail against the selected product and decoration technique’s requirements. Thin lines are not automatically corrected. Follow the supplier’s requirement for that configuration rather than a single minimum for every product.
  • Placement and size. Keep to a left-chest scale and avoid oversized layouts that do not suit corporate wear.
  • Colour count. Favour a limited set of solid thread colours and confirm brand colour matches on the proof.
  • Fine detail. Avoid very small text and fine detail that blurs when stitched.
  • Vector artwork. Supply vector artwork so it vectorizes cleanly for a stitch-ready proof.

How to start selling

  1. Start from the connected catalogue. Every Cutter & Buck product in the FastEditor Product Hub already carries its print areas, decoration methods and specifications. Product configuration is already done. To start in Studio Tool, create an account and choose a plan; the Starter plan includes a 30-day free trial. For Logo Editor, activate a FastEditor license and complete the webshop integration setup.
  2. Choose how you sell. Put products on your webshop with the Logo Editor so customers personalise them, or keep them in the Studio Tool for your sales and account teams.
  3. The design happens in FastEditor. A logo drops onto the product inside the real decoration area, is checked against the colour and line-weight rules, and is previewed in place before anyone commits.
  4. Generate the proof and production file. In Studio Tool, use Download to generate the files for the selected product and decoration technique. In Logo Editor, the webshop sends a Sale Notification after the customer places the order to trigger file generation. The proof and production file follow the selected supplier configuration.
