What this technique demands of the artwork

Heat transfer is precise and durable, and its limits come from how the transfer is cut and weeded.

Colour is by layer. Cut vinyl transfers use one colour per layer, so colour count is validated against the product limit. Printed transfers allow full colour but still need a clean cut line.

Thin detail lifts. Very fine lines and small knockouts can lift during weeding, so line weight is checked against the product minimum.

It must be vector, or become vector. Cut paths come from vectors, so FastEditor vectorises any upload to give the cutter clean paths to follow.
